The Diponegoro Exchange Experience Program (DEEP) – Food Technology Program is an international short-term academic initiative designed to bridge scientific knowledge with real-world food innovation. Carrying the theme “From Science to Real-World Food Innovation”, this program provides participants with a comprehensive learning experience in the field of food technology through an integration of theoretical understanding, laboratory practice, and industry-relevant applications.

The program adopts a blended learning approach, combining online and on-site learning experiences. The online phase (August 2026) is delivered through synchronous sessions via Zoom, where participants engage in interactive lectures, discussions, and collaborative learning activities with lecturers and international peers. In addition, asynchronous learning is facilitated through a MOOCs-based platform, enabling participants to access recorded materials, assignments, and self-paced learning modules.

To enhance experiential learning, selected participants will be invited to join an on-site program at Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia, during September to October 2026. This phase emphasizes hands-on laboratory work, project-based learning, and direct exposure to academic and cultural environments. Participants will engage in practical sessions, develop innovative food products, and experience Indonesia’s rich culinary diversity.
