Semarang, tp.undip.ac.id – The Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, officially launched the Diponegoro Exchange Experience Program (DEEP) 2026 through an online opening session held via Zoom on Wednesday (August 5). The event marked the beginning of preparations for welcoming international students who will participate in the exchange program from September to October 2026.
The opening session was led by the Head of the Food Technology Study Program, who introduced the study program, its academic facilities, and provided an overview of the learning activities that participants will experience throughout DEEP 2026. The Head of the International Office (IO) of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences also attended the event, providing information on administrative procedures, arrival arrangements, and other important preparations prior to the participants’ arrival in Indonesia.
The session brought together faculty members, the DEEP organizing committee, student buddies, and prospective participants from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Malaysia), Central Mindanao University (Philippines), and Visayas State University (Philippines). Also joining the opening program was Dr. Mylene Anwar from Central Mindanao University (CMU), whose participation reflects the strong academic partnership between CMU and Universitas Diponegoro. During the orientation, participants were introduced to the program schedule, which includes lectures, laboratory practicums, sit-in classes, buddy activities, community engagement programs, and cultural experiences designed to enrich their academic journey at UNDIP.
As part of its commitment to providing an internationally enriched learning environment, DEEP 2026 will also feature a visiting professor from Belgium, who is a member of the Erasmus+ consortium. The visiting professor will deliver guest lectures and share expertise on the latest developments in sustainable food systems, while further strengthening academic collaboration between Universitas Diponegoro and its European partner institutions.
Through DEEP 2026, the Food Technology Study Program at Universitas Diponegoro continues to demonstrate its commitment to the internationalization of higher education by integrating academic excellence, intercultural learning, and global collaboration. The program is expected to broaden students’ global perspectives while fostering long-term partnerships with leading universities across Southeast Asia and Europe.
