Semarang, June 6, 2026 — The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, held the Summer Course SDGs on “Harvesting Futures” from June 3 to 6, 2026. This onsite program invited selected participants from several countries, including Afghanistan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Palestine, the Philippines, Pakistan, and other countries. The program was a continuation of the online summer course that had been successfully conducted earlier. Through this onsite activity, participants were given the opportunity to experience direct learning in Indonesia, combining academic activities, international.
One of the main agendas was a collaboration activity at FPP Undip, which provided a platform for participants, lecturers, and committee members to exchange ideas and strengthen international academic networks. This activity encouraged participants to discuss global issues related to agriculture, sustainability, local resources, and the role of higher education in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. Participants also joined a field learning session at the Umbul Sidomukti coffee plantation. Through this visit, they learned about the connection between agriculture, local potential, tourism, and sustainable development, particularly how coffee plantation activities can support agro-tourism and community-based economic development.
The Summer Course SDGs on “Harvesting Futures” reflects Universitas Diponegoro’s commitment to strengthening international engagement and promoting Indonesia’s agricultural and cultural potential to the global community. Through this program, participants are expected to gain meaningful academic experiences, build cross-cultural understanding, and open opportunities for future collaboration.
